This role provides a great opportunity to become an integral member of our Needham Coding team and to contribute to its long term growth and success. To be successful it is essential that the candidate possesses a natural sales ability, is ambitious and looking for an opportunity to build and shape his or her own career within our family owned, dynamic and modern company.
Experience in relation to the equipment sold is not essential, however proven sales ability is desired.

Needham Coding Ltd Head Office is based in Whitchurch, Shropshire with a Technical Base in Castleton, near Sheffield. The successful candidate would predominantly work from home but would be expected to attend regular meetings at both Head Office and Technical locations.

Sales responsibilities

– Increase our installed base; lead generation, customer visits, proposal submissions, negotiations and closing sales. – Increase our OEM business. – Manage existing key accounts.

– Offer aftersales support services.

– Follow up and manage website generated leads.

– Liaise with marketing department; assist in the development and implementation of new sales and marketing strategies.

Technical responsibilities

– To have a comprehensive understanding of the technical capabilities of our equipment.

– Sample production; liaise with the technical team to ensure samples are produced and returned to customers efficiently.

– Customer demonstrations; accompany the technical team to conduct on site demonstrations of the equipment.

– Interpret customer requirements and suggest relevant technical solutions.

Administration

– Receive purchase orders and liaise with admin team to process orders.

– Input data and updates into our internal project management software.

– Provide weekly activity reports to the Managing Director.

– Planning and preparing presentations for the monthly Management Review meeting.

– Reporting on progress towards sales targets and strategic objectives.

Financial planning and performance:

– Work with the Managing Director to set sales targets, budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

– Ensuring sales targets, budgets and KPIs are met.

– Identify new products, markets and strategies to increase sales and profits.

Needham Coding Ltd supplies, installs and supports three coding and marking technologies; Continuous Ink Jet Printers (CIJ), CO2 Laser Coding Systems and YAG/Fiber Industrial Laser Marking Systems.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

Manage the technical service and sales diary:
o Schedule service calls.
o Schedule demonstrations, trials and installations.
Input data to our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software:
o Project updates.
o Sample pictures and videos.
Prepare/complete relevant paperwork:
o Installation documents.
o Trial/Rental Agreement documents.
o Service/repair documents.
o Send relevant paperwork to Head Office periodically.
Help manage the technical office and workshop whilst working to ISO9001 guidelines.
Order required spare parts and accessories.
Technical & Sales Support (At Base)

Commissioning and preparation of coding systems.
Preparation of appropriate equipment prior to scheduled demonstration or installation.
Production of customer samples:
o Complete samples reports to include pictures, videos and technical data.
o Liaise with customers to return physical samples and samples reports.
Customer demonstrations.
Liaise with suppliers to rectify faults or to solve technical queries.
System repairs.
Arrange and manage demonstrations, trials and installations.
Continuous development and training; latest software updates, hardware updates.
Customer training.
Produce customer / project proposals (on occasions).
Manage / liaise with suppliers of third party equipment.
Technical Support (In The Field)

– Visit existing customers to perform routine maintenance.
– Conduct on site demonstrations, trials and installations.
– Respond to call outs to repair faulty systems.
– Customer training.
– Site surveys prior to installation.

Skills Required

GCSE’s or equivalent in Math’s, English & Science.
Degree level qualification, preferably within a technical / engineering related subject.
