Our range of dot peen marking systems produce detail so fine you would be hard pressed to discern a difference between the mark and a metal stamp. Able to mark almost all metals, most plastics, wood and more, they are an extremely effective low-cost alternative to laser marking. What is Dot Peen Marking?

With a dot peen marker, a carbide or diamond stylus electromechanically strikes the assembly against the surface of a part to be marked, essentially stamping the item. A multitude of these small dots are combined to create digits, text, logos, 2D data matrix codes and more. Our dot peen markers use a pulsed current through a solenoid, punching the magnet toward the surface, then returns the stylus to its starting position, awaiting the next pulse. Each pulse lasts only a tiny fraction of a second, so an entire code or logo can be produced in seconds.
